Something fun

Back when Seth and I were doing the 31 day challenge this was one activity we did but I never used it in the blog.  I don't know why it actually is kind of cool.

I put shaving cream in this zip lock with three different colors of food coloring on top.

Pretty!  Then I zipped it up and let Seth squeeze the bag, mixing the colors together.

My extended living room!

I love our deck! LOVE IT!  It seriously is my extended living room in the summer.  Seth spends hours on the deck playing and watching traffic go by.

We now have a grill that sits in that little nook to the left.

Seth's little table... He loves eating lunch and snacks out on the deck!

My pea plants that are finally producing!

deer and Seth

This pass weekend Seth got to watch daddy call to some deer in the back yard.  Two, little does.  They were just as interested in Seth as Seth was with them.

I was taking these pictures from our deck, while Jesse and Seth were down by the deer.  (You can get really close to the deer here.)
Seth was really captivated.  The deer let him get about 30 feet (OK I'm guessing!) before taking off into the woods.  Seth ran after them!  Jesse proudly informed me that his son is a "hunter"

Seth coming to terms that the deer are gone. But they will be back, I see them pretty much every morning in the back yard :)

Seth's weekend

Friday:  Seth and I took a day trip to Wrangell to see Jesse's job he's working on.

Highlights:
  • Going to Salvation Army. I found some really nice baby items :)
  • Eating at the Stikine Inn for lunch
  • Seeing Jesse's job

Seth's highlight was this park, with this neat rocking car.

And trying to climb up the slide!

Saturday: Took Seth out for ice cream. (First)

Sunday: Swimming at Blind Slough Rapids (first) and fresh blueberries (first)!

Splashing around in the warm, shallow water :)

Out of all the activities we did this would still be Seth's favorite thing to do... sit in the half finished garden shed looking at daddy's nails.
 Followed by:
Chasing

the cat

Day 29: Play dough

Seth's 31 days of firsts wouldn't be completed without a day of homemade play dough.  Since the play dough recipe I used wasn't that great I'm not including it.  I need my mom's play dough recipe... her is awesome.

His favorite part was me making him little "ginger bread men" and singing the run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the ginger bread man!

Day 28: Colored ice cubes

Three more days left!!!

This morning before church I gave Seth a bath and put several colored ice cubes in with him.  I made the colored ice a few days before.  It was fun watching them turn the water in the tub different colors!

Day 27: Button sensory bin

Seth enjoyed doing his first (here) sensory bin, I decided to make him another one... this time with buttons.  Lots and Lots of button!

I'm so happy he's pass the stage of putting everything in his mouth!

Day 26: Bowling

What you need for inside bowling.
  • 3 or 4 plastic bottles
  • ball

Finally putting to use the Puff containers I have been saving for months!

Seth's style of setting the pins up!
