His Word

"Blessed is the man who does not walk to the counsel of the wick.
Or stands in the way of sinners,
or sit in the seat of mockers.
But delights in the law of the Lord, on his law to meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by steams of water, which yields it's fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
Not so the wicked! They are like Chaff that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in judgment nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For God watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish."
Psalms 1

Psalms 1 has been my memory verse for the last month.  I'm reading through a book right now called His Word in My Heart by Janet Pope.  The book really encourages memorizing scriptures and stealing God's word away in your heart.  This book has been challenging me to memorize scripture to better understand Gods word.

My next challenge will be memorizing the book of James.  James has always been a favorite book of mine.  God has lead me to the book a couple of times in my life. The first chapter of James starts off talking about trials in your life.  I can relate to this... my hubby has been laid up for 7 weeks (and counting) with a hernia disc that's putting a lot of pressure on his sciatic nerve. So there is a fair amount of stress!  And poor Jes is getting sick of laying on the couch and not working.

James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the 12 tribes scattered among the nations. Greetings.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance... (James 1:1-3)

I do

Four years ago I said " I do" to a very special person.  Today we are still happily married to each other!  My promise still remains today as it will in another four years and years to come...  "I will love you completely and forever"

Following our wedding Jesse and I took off on a three month honeymoon in South America.  We traveled to 6 different countries, starting in Buenos Ares, Argentina.  (Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Ecuador, & Bolivia.)

 Iguaze Falls in Argentina

(below) highway in Bolivia where this semi truck was stuck in the ditch.
Having to walk the last five miles into town because our bus broke down on the road.  Bolivia

Some times it feels good to reminisce.  What will the next four years bring?

Cause and effect

This is a perfect example of Cause and Effect...  Cause the Christmas tree didn't get water when we were in Juneau the effect was I had to take it down RIGHT after Christmas.

 Talk about a fire hazard!

Lesson learned.

little of this little of that

Is it to soon to be having the winter blah?  To be super anxious about spring?  I usually love winter but I am so looking forward to spring... hopefully some sunshine too.  For the last five months it's been nothing but rain, in record breaking amounts.  Seriously we haven't had two nice days together.  The joys of living in a rain forest. Blah when will spring get here?

Found a new activity for Seth!  It's playing fetch with Eli off the deck.  He loves watching the dog run for the ball!

Seth loves squealing at the dog.

 Getting tired out! NOT

Everyone loves a smoothie!  We are huge smoothie fans; here is one of my favorites!

1 Cup milk
1 banana peeled and 1/2 cup or cup of frozen blue berries
6 almonds
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1 pinch cinnamon (that's optional)
 (and blend of course!)

This smoothie kind of gives you that spring time feeling!

Guess who's going to be turning 1years old soon?!?!
