Mays almost over!

Wow I can't believe that May is wrapping up and this is the first blog post for the month of May.  BUSY.  That about sums it up to why I haven't been posting!  Seth is growing like a weed (and so am I with baby #2 in the making).  Seth (16 months) has had a LOT of first to share; some more fun then others.

1.  First stomach flu.  Seth had his first stomach flu two weeks ago with vomiting all night and diarrhea the next following days.  It was absolutely miserable.  Poor little guy was such a trooper though.  And mama got the stomach flu as well... it sucked!  It was a learning experience.

After a long night he was content to lay on the couch with his favorite, odd stuffed animal.

    2.  His first really long boat ride of the season!  Uncle D and Aunt L came and visited for 5 days.  We spend three days going out on boats!  The longest boat ride last over ten hours! We even did a day trip over to Wrangell to look at a job that Jesse will be doing over there all summer.

Two weeks ago a ferry boat smacked into this dock.  Lots of damage done

This is in Wrangell were hubby will be spending most of his summer... thankfully it's a quick boat ride to Wrangell :)

      3.  Seth's First book from the Imagination Library came.  The imagination library is a foundation that Dolly Parton set up were children from 0-5 years will receive a free book every month until they turn five.  It's to encourage reading development in young children.  Look here for more info!  The Little Engine that Could by: Watty Piper. It's a classic! Thanks Dolly!

        4.  Seth went to his first birthday party!  His little friend, N, was turning the big number 2!  And what a party it was!  Seth totally loaded up on cake, punch and even cotton candy! Yes, they had a cotton candy machine which was awesome to watch... which leads me to first # 5.
          5.  Seth's first cotton candy on a stick!  His favorite part of the cotton candy was squeezing it into a ball.

          6.  Not really a first but something worth mentioning.  Seth's hitting that dare devil stage; if he finds a way to get up on the couch he isn't afraid to jump off.  Which he is slowly finding out is NOT a good idea! And throwing things... all little boys love throwing stuff.
