On Sunday afternoon we took Seth on a real picnic; one that includes a blanket on the ground and sticks for roasting hotdogs! Boy does he love being outside.
This is the beach we went to, which was really close to home.
No one does a picnic like Seth and on one messed the blanket up more then Seth.
Loved eat his cheese puffs outside!
The most exciting part was when the Ferry went by! Seth jump up and ran down by the water. He did a lot of pointing and grunting at the ferry. I'm pretty sure that was his highlight of the picnic... besides the cheese puffs!

taco bell withdrawls
Living up here has it's perks but it also has it's cons. One of them is not having a Taco Bell so I could order a crunch supreme... oh and Subway. (I love and miss Subway and Shamrock shakes at McDonald's during Saint Patrick's day)
I found on pinterest a recipe for Taco bells crunch supreme's but I couldn't get on the website. So I did some web searches and I found a few recipes that I adapted to make my own version of the Crunch Supreme!
Large Flour Tortillas burrito style
1 lbs of ground beef... or in my case ground caribou from last years hunt up in Kotz!
taco seasoning
sour cream
shredded cheese
tortilla chips ( I used tortilla scoops because it was the only kind we had around the house)
tomatoes
lettuce
black beans ( I know Taco Bell doesn't add black beans but I LOVE them!
black olives
Brown burger, add taco seasoning and cook until done.
I read that If you microwaved the tortillas for a few seconds before adding all the goodies it makes wrapping them easier. I don't have a microwave but I could see where that would make it easier.
Take a tortilla, spread some sour cream in the center.
Next top with burger and black beans. ( I found that I could probably make 6 crunch wraps out of a pound of burger... but that is depending on how much you are putting in your crunch wrap.)
shredded cheese or nacho cheese... we used plain shredded cheese
Add a layer of tortilla chips or you could add a small corn tortilla like a toastade size.
Top with lettuce, black olives and tomatoes.
I thought folding them was going to be tricky but it wasn't. As you can see from the first picture all the goodies are in the middle of the tortillas so it's basically bring in the sides. Watch out for the chips in the tortillas , because they like to poke holes in the shell!
Cook on a non stick pan or griddle. Press with a spatula and cook until brown, flip and do other side. These don't take long to cook!
Yum a new favorite of Seth's.

my little helper
Seth loves "helping" he loves doing the things that I'm doing. One of his favorites is helping with laundry. Nothings more fun then putting dirty clothes in the washing machine! Or piling clothes in the clothes baskets!
Busy boy!

Friday the 13th ultrasound!
I had my ultrasound on Friday for baby #2! I scheduled the appointment late in the day so Jesse could make it. It's a little nerve racking the first few minutes of the ultrasound; hope nothing is wrong with baby. Everything was wonderful, right on schedule and baby is looking good. Praise the Lord!
Following the ultrasound we had homemade pizza at my mom and dad's house. Yummmmmm. Then we went and rented a stupid Adam Sandler movie (Jack and Jill) for the night. It actually was really funny... I was just disappointed they didn't have War Horse :(
Seth and I ready to leave for the twenty week ultrasound! Half way there! |

I don't think I ever showed some pictures of Seth's toy box that Jesse made him for Christmas. I painted it yellow; since we had an abundance of yellow paint laying around. And I add the truck and plane decals.
That "Brown Bear" book is one of his Favorites. I can tell him to go find his brown bear book and he goes looking for it! |
You can't really see the full bib suit he's wearing but that is a creation from his Aunty EM! |
Thinking he's pretty "hott" stuff standing in his toy box :) |

He has risen!
We had a great Easter weekend. On Saturday we went for a picnic/cookout with my family on the south end of the island. On Sunday was church, bunch, long naps and a walk at Blind Slough. A nice relaxing weekend!
Last Easter! 2011 |
THIS Easter! 2012! |
Playing with this nasty, white bucket when he could be playing with a nice, shiny, blue bucket! |
Sad face. Seth wanted to go down by daddy who was by the water. |
Father/son moment! |
Grandma blowing bubble for Seth. |
Easter Day! As you can see we have been having beautiful weather. This spot is one of my favorite places on the island. We love going and walking Eli here. Lots of black bears in the spring. |
Wanting to go in the water. (behind us there was a young girl swimming, brrrrrr) |
We were trying to get Seth to throw the rocks in the water! |

rainy day stuff
Yesterday was cold and rainy, which means Seth and I didn't make it outside. I decided to set a tub of water in front of the wood stove and let him ''swim''. (First) How happy he was you would have thought I set up an amusement park in the living room! Lots of giggles and laughs!
What's new with Seth:
Two of his favorite bath toys. |
What's new with Seth:
- Three molars are in, one more to go.
- He's hitting that picky eater stage. Foods that he use to like he wants nothing to do with. If it was up to him he would live off of toast, eggs and fruit.
- Still not talking but is able to understand more and more stuff.
- He's really getting into climbing: on the rocking chair, table, bed, couch etc... taking lots of tumbles off of furniture.
- Seth will be 15 months on the 18th!
